A beautifully enamelled Japanese cloisonné vase dating to the Meiji period (1868–1912), signed with the impressed mark 後藤 (Goto), a known and respected workshop of the era.

This elegant baluster-shaped vase stands 18 cm tall and features a rare pale yellow enamel ground, decorated in fine silver-wire yūsen shippo cloisonné technique. The design depicts two swallows—one in flight and one perched—amid trailing wisteria vines in soft purples and greens. The reverse shows blooming irises with delicate stems and foliage.

The rim and foot are finished in gilt bronze, and the overall craftsmanship reflects the refined naturalism and artistic sensibility of the Goto atelier.
