A refined pair of slender ovoid cloisonné vases worked in silver wire and shaded polychrome enamels, each decorated with tall iris blooms in white, violet, and lilac, surrounded by fine grasses and red daisies on a deep midnight-blue ground with a mirror-polish finish. The reverse with a delicate single floral sprig.
Applied with copper rims and silvered feet.
The bases signed with the impressed mark of Hayashi Chūzō (Kodenji workshop).
Height: 12 cm
Condition: Very good, minor wear to the base rims as expected with age.
