Of elegant baluster form, the pair finely worked in silver wire cloisonné and decorated in a rich millefleurs-style ground of densely arranged chrysanthemums (kiku). The surface is entirely covered with overlapping blossoms in soft shades of rose, ivory, pale lilac, ochre, and deep coral, interspersed with green and russet foliage, all set against a subtle pale turquoise-blue ground.
The composition is continuous and unbroken, with no reserved panels, allowing the floral design to flow seamlessly around each vessel. The flowers are rendered with delicate tonal shading and careful wire control, creating depth and movement while maintaining overall harmony.
Each vase is finished with a dark patinated metal rim and foot, the interiors and bases showing the typical vivid blue enamel of the period.
Height: 17 cm each
Condition: Excellent overall condition. No cracks, restoration, or losses observed. The enamels retain a strong, glossy surface with fresh colour and fine detail throughout.
