Each of baluster form, worked in polychrome enamels and silver wire on a mottled dark-brown enamel ground, the front cartouches decorated with hō-ō (phoenix) amid scrolling foliage on pale reserves, framed by pendant tassels, the shoulders with formal lotus-lappet borders, the upper sections with butterflies and chrysanthemum sprays on a pale-blue ground. The interiors and recessed bases enamelled green, the rims in gilt metal.
Size: H-19 cm.
In good condition commensurate with age. No damage or restoration observed.
