Of circular openwork form, the deep basket intricately engraved and pierced with chrysanthemum sprays and scrolling foliage, raised on a waisted trumpet foot with conforming engraved decoration and geometric piercings, fitted with a tall swing handle terminating in chrysanthemum-form rosettes. The interior engraved with a rising sun above a presentation inscription dated 23rd February 1916 from the staff of The Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, Tokyo. The underside stamped Jungin (pure silver).
