Of elegant slender ovoid form, the body superbly decorated in finely detailed enamels and rich gilt over a finely crackled ivory ground. One side depicts a tranquil bamboo grove animated by a cockerel and hen, rendered with remarkable naturalism and delicate tonal control. The reverse presents an extensive mountainous temple landscape with pagodas, pavilions, bridges and trees, executed in refined gilt line work and soft enamels in the classic Kinkozan palette.
A vertical panel of cascading cherry blossoms reserved on a deep cobalt ground divides the scenes, framed by geometric and floral borders to the shoulder and foot. The quality of the painting is exceptional, particularly in the rendering of the bamboo leaves, where subtle shading, gilt outlines and rhythmic repetition create depth and movement across the surface.
The vase bears the Kinkozan signature tablet to the base and retains the original paper label.
Size: H 24.5 cm, W 12 cm, base diameter 8 cm.
Condition: Excellent, with no restoration or damage.
