Elegantly proportioned and finely worked, this Japanese cloisonné enamel vase is decorated with a naturalistic fruiting branch extending across a soft pink ground. The composition features delicately shaded leaves and rounded green fruits rendered in subtle tonal enamels, outlined with very fine silver wire.
The restrained design reflects the refined aesthetic of late Meiji cloisonné, where natural motifs were often arranged asymmetrically to create balance and movement across the surface. The gentle gradient of the pink ground enhances the quiet elegance of the composition, allowing the botanical motif to emerge with clarity and depth.
The vase is finished with dark metal mounts at the rim and foot, framing the enamel body and providing a pleasing contrast to the soft coloration of the ground.
Height: 15 cm.
Condition: Excellent overall condition with no visible enamel loss or restoration.
