Of baluster form, the body finely decorated in polychrome enamels with a continuous scene of a duck perched beside blossoming prunus branches and rockwork, all reserved against a rich yellow ground. The design is delicately outlined in silver wire, with subtle shading to the foliage and blossoms, and heightened with soft tonal transitions characteristic of late Meiji cloisonné work.

The vase is finished with a silver-mounted rim and foot, the interior glazed in deep green.

Height: 15 cm

Condition: Very good overall, with light surface wear and minor firing irregularities consistent with age.
