Of shallow circular form, finely painted in polychrome enamels and gilt with an elaborate festival procession centred on a richly ornamented wheeled float (yamaboko), depicted in motion and surrounded by numerous attendants.

The float, of complex architectural construction with layered roofs, suspended banners and standards, is densely populated with figures, while others strain at the wheels and guide its movement, conveying a strong sense of weight, rhythm and ceremonial purpose. The body of the cart is decorated with intricate brocade-like geometric panels in vivid enamels and gilt, executed with notable precision.

The composition is distinguished by the exceptional refinement of the figure painting, with a large number of individually rendered faces, each characterised with subtle expression and variation. The garments are worked with great care, displaying finely detailed patterns and colour harmonies, demonstrating a particularly high level of craftsmanship. The density and clarity of the decoration, combined with the coherence of the scene, mark this as a highly accomplished example.

The ground is delicately worked in a dense stippled technique, with softly painted trees, distant hills and architectural elements providing atmospheric depth.

The rim enclosed by a finely detailed gilt border of formal geometric design. The reverse with a pale crackled glaze, decorated with scattered gilt maple leaves, the base signed Hōzan in iron red.
