The composition is framed by a narrow gilt band and surrounded by a dense kinrande brocade of scrolling karakusa in gold over a deep blue ground, continuing seamlessly around the sides of the box.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe interior reveals two shallow dishes, each decorated with refined enamel painting of pine, wisteria and foliage, restrained in palette and line in contrast to the opulence of the exterior.
